This Privacy Policy describes how 宠语相机 (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our mobile application on Android and iOS. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Overview

宠语相机 is a pet photo camera application. Core features include in-app photo capture, local and cloud photo management, pet sound effects, AI-assisted pet copywriting, and a photo palette that displays capture metadata (time, device, and location when available).

Important: The App supports photo capture only. We do not provide in-app video recording. On some devices, the system camera permission dialog may mention “record video” because of platform wording; that does not mean the App records video.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect or process the following information:

• Account and device identifiers: an anonymous device UUID generated on first launch, session token, and user ID returned by our login API.
• Photos you capture: image files, thumbnails, and related metadata (capture time, device model, and GPS coordinates when location is available).
• Custom audio (optional): short recordings you create in the Sound Library for custom pet sound effects.
• App settings: preferences such as sound volume, shutter sound, burst mode, and timer settings stored locally on your device.
• Technical and usage data: information needed to operate API requests (e.g., app version, request timestamps, encrypted API payloads).

We use collected information to:

• Provide camera capture, preview, editing, and gallery management.
• Save photos locally and, when enabled, upload them to our servers for cloud backup and cross-device access.
• Generate AI-assisted pet captions and palette presentation based on images you submit.
• Store and play pet sound effects, including sounds you record or select.
• Attach device and location metadata to photos for display in the palette export card.
• Maintain your session, improve stability, and prevent abuse of our services.
• Respond to support requests when you contact customer service.

5. Data Storage and Retention

• On your device: photos, settings, UUID, and session data may be stored in app storage and SharedPreferences (or equivalent).
• On our servers: uploaded photos, cloud gallery records, and related URLs may be retained while your account is active or as required to provide the service.
• Retention: we keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law or legitimate business needs (e.g., dispute resolution).

You may delete photos from the in-app gallery and request removal of associated cloud records where the App provides delete functionality.

6. Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in these cases:

• Service infrastructure: our backend APIs and file hosting/CDN used to upload, store, and deliver images and audio.
• Platform services: geocoding or device information providers used to convert GPS coordinates into readable place names or to write device metadata.
• Sharing you initiate: when you use system share features to send images to other apps.
• Legal requirements: when required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted API communication where implemented by our backend. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
• Withdraw consent for optional permissions via system settings at any time.
• Disable cloud sync or stop using online features that require uploads.
• Request information about how your data is processed.

To exercise these rights, use in-app controls where available or contact us using the methods in Section 10.

9. International Users

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
